Tuesday was the afternoon of artists being 'artists'. As a group we met as we had the week prior, sitting down with paper and charcoal/pen and drew Jack dressed in a blow up doll outfit that he had made himself. Interestingly the drawings came out very cubist and were reminiscent of Picasso's style. It made us wonder if he had been looking at blow up dolls. The lack of light and definition on the face of the doll caused difficulty as a face would have shadow, and definition. Having said that I felt more at ease drawing the doll due to not worrying about the structure so much. There is certainly a lesson there with how I should approach life drawing in the future.
