I tried today to document the flowers before they dies but also explore charcoal, using soft, compressed and graphite and chalk to work with. I began by experimenting with the materials before moving onto a study on thick tracing paper which I would like to continue to explore further. In particular the idea that the image can potentially be shown from either side of the paper and also naturally illuminates when placed against a white wall.
